Fed: Beazley wants PM to apologise over AWB
KIM BEAZLEY's demanding the prime minister apologise to wheat farmers over the AWB debacle.
JOHN HOWARD's just wrapped up his meeting with AWB executives .. after Iraq suspended
its dealings with the monopoly wheat exporter until the outcome of the Cole inquiry.
The decision has shut the Australian wheat exporter out of the lucrative Iraqi market
.. including a current tender worth almost 300 million dollars.
The Labor leader says Mr HOWARD turned a blind eye to a set of behaviours which have
now seriously damaged Australia's international standing.
